Fallen off the wagon

Well as you can see March has come and my last photo was back in February. I really have just let it fall to the way-side. I enjoyed my start to Project 365 but really need to re-vamp it and make it work for me. Stay tuned I will be posting .....eventually. :)

Day 21/365

Kind of a cool picture of the Celery Ray cut for supper.

Day 20/365

One of the warm days we had in January the kids went out and built snow sculptures. I thought that Blaze's elephant was awesome.

Day 18/365

My photo today is a distorted Coke can. I had a glass of water sitting on my desk and the Coke can was sitting behind it and I thought it might make a cool picture.

Day 17/365

Blaze all dressed up in her Cadet uniform. She's having a blast. At their Formal Supper on Saturday she was Honorary captain because she's the youngest in the Squadron. Now we all call her Captain. :) I played around a bit in Gimp and aged the photo....just because I could.

Day 16/365

Another cold snowy day. So I dug out the sidewalk chalk and photographed it. I saturated the colour and threw a filter over the photo and voila!. It makes me smile remembering all the hours the kids spent last summer drawing pictures on the sidewalk.

Day 15/365

Cold and snowing again on Saturday so the kids and Ray did puzzles. It's a great way to spend an afternoon.

Day 14/365

Friday's photo. We had company and I really was too tired to post after they left. Coke it is the drink of choice in our house.

Day 13/365

There's nothing yummier than fresh, soft, warm buns from the oven. :)

Day 12/365

My photo day is straight out of camera. I had to make a trip to Wal Mart tonight so I took my camera along and got a few shots of the traffic on the highway. I'm happy with the results. :)

Day 11/ 365

My photo from yesterday. It was late and I wasn't feeling real creative or interested in picking up my camera. I dumped my bucket of flowers that I use for scrapbooking on my desk and shot away. This is what I came up with. I actually really like it.

Day 10/365

We woke up this morning to a Winter Wonderland. The snow was soft and fluffy and the Hoar Frost was beautiful.

Day 9/365

We had a bit of a snow storm yesterday and it has left my windows all frosty. I've always been fascinated by the patterns frost makes on glass, ice and other smooth shiny surfaces. Hmm, I wonder if Jack Frost will come and play some more tonight??

Day 8/365

My favorite bracelet. I love the colour, the chunkiness, the smoothness and the retro feel of it. I wear it all the time.

Day 7/365

Here's my photo from yesterday. I snapped a photo of Dawn G's hand. I loved how it looked. I added 3 layers of saturation and am almost giddy with how it looks. The background is so abstract and neon and awesome. :) Dawn's hand almost looks like it's ready to leap off the page. :) I'm having a blast with this project. I know it's supposed to chronicle more of your daily life but it's my 365 and my interpretation and I am having fun! It is good for the creative heart

Day 6/365

Here we are at day 6 already.Today's photo is making my heart happy. I spent the day with a great friend. We always have fun when we get together. Today we went to a local art store called Art Placement. It's a hidden jewel in our city. They have the most amazing papers and art supplies. If you have never been there go check them out. After a lunch of Dim Sum at a local restaurant we spent the afternoon "junking" at the local thrift stores. We both found some fun stuff to get our creative juices going. So here is my selection of finds from all the places we visited.

Dsy 5/365

Here's my oldest son out enjoying the snow. Today was a hard day to pick which photo to post as I got quite a few nice shots of him playing. :) I love the "snowfall" effect of the snow cascading out of his hands.

Day 4/365

The view from my patio doors tonight.

Day 3/365

Ray and I have been wanting to get skates for the kids for a while now but just weren't able to do it. This year we were finally able to do it. The kids were so excited. They had never been skating before. They took to it like ducks to water. ;) We only got a couple of outing's in before the weather turned cold. I'm hoping this cold snap doesn't last long. Ray and I even got skates. It's been about 20 years since either of us had been skating. It all came back to us...just like riding a bike. Speaking of wich that might be our next investment.
I saturated the colours a little in the photo just because I loved how the red and blue laces pop.

Day 2/365

Yummy.....Warm apple crisp and ice cream. I love these kinds of desserts in the winter time. :) Today I made Ray's favorite supper, Shepherd's Pie and we finished it off with this. I love how everyone's eye's always light up for the dessert portion of supper. With the six of us there is usually someone who isn't thrilled about what's on the table for supper but they never fail to get excited about dessert.

Day 1/365

I have been lacking in inspiration for quite some time now. I don't know where it went or why but it's gone. I have decided that I really need to find it again so I am undertaking Project 365. It's all about documenting your daily life. I'm excited for it. It has many purposes; First it will get me back on track blogging again. I have really neglected my blog this past year.Second it will make me be creative in some manner everyday. Yeah!! Third I will have to pick up my camera everyday. Something I have not been doing lately. Fourth it should give me lots of photo's to scrapbook this year. :) I am not sure yet if I will continue to post my Project 365 photo's here or if I will start another blog and then just link them up here...we'll have to see. So now onto today's photo.

I didn't put up a Christmas tree this year in stead the kids each made one. I will be putting them away sometime this week and since I hadn't taken any photo's of them yet I thought this would be a great way to start. :)
